The Rooted 3-course menu
Because figs play an incredibly important role at Rooted, we decided to prepare a 3-course meal, with the main ingredient: the fig. This sweet, aromatic and healthy sham fruit contains only 40 kcal and is packed with vitamins and dietary fibre. The three dishes on this menu are easy and quick to prepare.

appetizer
We start with a wonderfully fresh fig salad with mozzarella, arugula and Parma ham (for the vegetarian variant, replace the Parma ham for walnuts). The sweetness of the fig goes very well with the earthiness of the arugula. Click here for the recipe

Main dish
As main course we have figs with a port risotto. The earthy, sweet and spicy flavors complement each other perfectly in this dish. We owe this dish to Valerie, from www.bepuremetvalerie.nl. Click here for the recipe

Dessert
We conclude our 3-course menu with the dessert “divine figs”, these are candied figs with a butterscotch cream and a pistachio crumb. The caramelized figs melt in your mouth and the pistachio crumb has a delicious bite. Click here for the recipe.

fig liqueur
To quench your thirst during dinner, you can choose to drink this deliciously sweet fig liqueur. The Rooted fig liqueur has a somewhat long brewing time, as the brew has to steep for about a month. But all good things come slowly, our liqueur is well worth the wait! Click here for the recipe.
